Manawatu 2005 Launch

Combined Insurance teamed up with The Manawatu Standard to launch the inaugural Make It Happen awards giving away $15,000 on 16 May 2005.

The scheme gave away a share of a $15,000 prize pool to people, groups and charities who wanted to benefit the community in the Manawatu area.

A panel of judges decided which of the award entries were most beneficial to the community and most deserving of the cash, then award winners were invited to a special awards ceremony.

Manawatu 2005 Awards Ceremony
A panel of judges decided which of the entries were most beneficial to the community and most deserving of the cash and the winners were invited to a special presentation event on 3 August 2005.
The awards were presented by Black Ferns Captain, Farah Palmer, the Editor of the Manawatu Standard, Jo Myers together with the General Manager/ Vice President for Combined, Paul Kelly.
