Christchurch 2007 Launch
Combined Insurance teamed up with The Press and the Christchurch Mail to launch the Make It Happen awards in Christchurch giving away $15,000 on 11 May 2007.
The scheme gave away a share of a $15,000 prize pool to people, groups and charities who wanted to benefit the community in the Christchurch area.
A panel of judges decided which of the award entries were most beneficial to the community and most deserving of the cash, then award winners were invited to a special awards ceremony.

The awards were presented by the former Silver Fern and the current Flames Coach Marg Foster, Carla Amos the Communities Editorial Manager for the Press, together with Paul Kelly the General Manager/ Vice President for Combined Insurance
